The EC3 group devotes most of its energy to generate the best research possible, but that is not the only thing they do: they are also teachers! This week, the second semester of the academic course started and that means Daniel Torres-Salinas, NicolĂ¡s Robinson-GarcĂa and Elvira GonzĂ¡lez-SalmĂ³n will be teaching DocumentaciĂ³n Aplicada a la TraducciĂ³n, at the Translation and Interpreting Faculty.
Daniel and NicolĂ¡s are already experts both in the teaching world and in this course, since it is their second year teaching it. On the other hand, it is the first time for Elvira teaching a university course. They have been preparing for this moment for weeks, we’re sure they are going to do great!
The course focuses on the importance that information and documentation has on the professional life of translators and interpreters. Students will learn about bibliographic references, information retrieval, information processing, documentary languages, internet and sources of information for translation, amongst many other useful things.
You can check out their course websites! (Daniel’s, NicolĂ¡s’s and Elvira’s) You will find the same course, different styles and the same commitment to make this course as useful and interesting as possible for translation and interpretating students.
