Last month, on the 23rd of February, el Centro Asociado de Sevilla hosted a round table discussion centered around the role of libraries in the digital age. Libraries play a crucial role in the knowledge we obtain and the information that is accessible to us. The evolving concept of sustainability and innovation sparks topics of interest for libraries with the management of resources and allocation of funds given. Creating innovation and change for library services was one of the round table discussions where EC3 Director Nicolas Robinson-García attended to speak upon the issue.
This round table focused on innovation in library services discussing the importance of new and improving library services becoming very crucial to the needs of those using digital technology. With more services becoming digital and online it is vital for libraries to adapt with those users in creating ways of support through different methods of communication.
