Rafael Repiso is a Associate Professor at Universidad de Málaga. Previously, he was a full professor (level 2) at UNIR (Universidad Internacional de La Rioja). His teaching focuses on Research Methodologies and Documentation for Communication students, at the bacherlors, Masters and Doctorate level. He is a founding member of the Spin Off EC3metrics of the University of Granada. He holds a diploma in Library Science, a Degree in Documentation, a Masters in Scientific Evaluation, a PhD in Documentation (2013) and a PhD in Communication (2019).

He is a member of the EC3 research group (University of Granada), and of the PROCOMM (UNIR) and Comunicar groups. Since the end of 2017, he is also a member of the Think Tank Thinkepi. He is a member of several scientific journals such as Comunicar (associate editor), Icon 14 (associate editor), Razón y Palabra (member of the editorial committee), Archivo Iberoamericano (member of the editorial committee) and Revista Avances (member of the editorial committee).
