The Alt-andalus project, carried out by Daniel Torres-Salinas, Esteban Romero Frías and Wenceslao Arroyo-Machado, provides an exciting extension of the InfluScience project by providing altmetrics on research carried out in Andalucía. The project is funded by the Junta de Andalucía as part of an overarching project to assess the social influence of research produced by Andalusian universities.
Similar to InfluScience, interested viewers can look through the rankings of different authors, publications, institutions, hospitals and more. These rankings are based on the given category’s influence on Twitter, Wikipedia, media and political reports, as measured by the number of mentions. There is also the option to search for any given research, or filter by different fields, magazines and years.
