Dani’s latest: ANECA, UGR’s Social Innovation Vice-rectorate & UIMP’s Summer Course

Our senior team member, Daniel Torres-Salinas, recently participated in the Menendez Pelayo International University (UIMP) Summer Course, where he joined the meeting «The academic and scientific career in Spain». His presentation, «Evaluative Altmetrics? Contributions for the incorporation of new metrics in evaluation systems» was discussed with colleagues Pilar Paneque-Salgado, Ángel Delgado-Vázquez and José Luis Ortega within the framework of the round table titled «New ways of understanding and evaluating research production».

Besides that, Dani has just become UGR’s Social Impact Assessment Coordinator, within the Vice-rectorate of Social Innovation, Employability and Entrepreneurship. This means that he will be leaving behind his previous position at the Vice-Rectorate of Research and Transfer.

He has also started taking part of ANECA’s Commission for Evaluation and Monitoring of the State Accreditation System, alongside other experts in research evaluation, scientific policy and bibliometrics. The Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation is a very relevant institution at the national level, as it is in charge of carrying out evaluation, certification and accreditation activities of the university system in order to continuously improve and adapt it to the European Higher Education Area.

From the EC3 Research Group we would like to warmly congratulate Dani on all his recent achievements!
