Exploring Wikidata for Social Science Research

To kick off the week, we present to you a new article exploring the social science world and the relevance of Wikidata in creating studies for social sciences. Wenceslao Arroyo-Machado who is the author of this article, recently published this work to provide access to studies revolving around research within economic and social fields.

While we know the basis of Wikidata, this article explains the different ways to access the system in order to create new ways to obtain information and use it as a research tool. He also goes on to describe the features and methods of communication used in the program.

It is true that there are so many benefits to using Wikidata and being able to access the model for research proposes, but Wenceslao shows how there are many bias factors when analyzing specific data. In the end, this article shows how crucial Wikidata can be and the ways we should be using this complex model.
