Last week we said goodbye to our team mate at the EC3 Research Group, Pedro J. Torres-GonzĂ¡lez, as he ended his 7 month long research assistant contract. Among his responsibilities within the group, he was in charge of data curation and information retrieval for the InfluScience project, course management at the #YoSigoPublicando training platform, as well as content creation for this website. He also took part in the organization of the 26th International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (STI) that was held last year here in Granada, and was a regular member of our internal academic reading club.

From now on, Pedro will carry on studying Mathematics at the University of Granada, where he is expected to complete his degree later this year. We hope that his interest in Data Science will make him come back very soon to collaborate again in our research group. We are all going to miss his always kind smile and enviable long curly hair, and wish him the very best!
