Our PhD students, Elvira GonzĂ¡lez-SalmĂ³n and Victoria Di CĂ©sare, have just started a personalized internal tutoring with Assistant Professor in Statistics at the University of Granada and member of the COMPARE Project, Dr. Manuel Escabias. Dr. Escabias has extensive experience as a Statistics professor at graduate and undergraduate levels, and works on a daily basis analyzing data with R programming language. Very recently, Elvira and Victoria took the PhD course «EstadĂstica para Ciencias Sociales con SPSS» (Statistics for Social Sciences with SPSS) with him as part of their doctoral training activities.

Regarding this internal tutoring, so far they have been reviewing the students’ previous knowledge on frequency tables, loops and data arranging functions, as well as learning about the theory and practice of correlations. In the coming weeks, they plan to dive deep into multivariate statistics, regressions and machine learning.
